No kids at the baby shower, please

How can I delicately ask those I invite to the shower not to bring their kids?

Thanks for your etiquette question. This same question is on the mind of a good amount of hostesses as they plan a baby shower.

Some guests bring their children out of necessity because of lack of a babysitter. Others bring them because they figure it is ok for young children. It can be solved by being clear of your expectations, but not too harshly that you lose some of your guests.
