My Baby Shower Website Story

Hello! My name is Nisha Williams.

You were probably wondering who the "we" or "us" that I refer to so much on this website. Well, we is actually me and my two children, who graciously allow me to spend my free time with you when I am not busy with them. ;)

This website is a celebration of the miracle of life and the love of children.

One of the most rewarding parts of my website is being able to help others celebrate new life in creative ways.

My Journey To Stay Home

It has always been a long anticipated and awaited dream of mine to stay home when I had children. My mother was a stay at home mom to me and my 6 sisters. Yes. We had ALOT of girls in my family!

After I got married, I realized what a challenge it was to go from 2 incomes to one. I became obsessed with crunching numbers, trying to look at our situation in different ways to make it work. I knew there had to be a better way, a way to stay home and be there for my future kids.

Fulfillment Of A Dream

Lucky for me, I ended up landing a job that allowed me to pay off all of our debt, making my dream of being a stay at home mom a reality. That was back in 2004.

My husband, Randy, loves helicopters and motorcycles. He started school to fly helicopters for a career after I stayed home with our first child. Which meant a hefty school loan and instability with work hours while he got his license. But a career that you actually enjoy is hard to come by. So we went for it.

The Struggle Begins

Money was tight, to the point that we even moved out of state and rented out our house for a little while so he could get more stable hours while in school.

During this time I was struggling. I gave up a promising career to stay home with my child. There were times that I thought the easiest solution was for me to just go back to work, but with the pregnancy of our second child I knew this was not an option for us.

The Search Begins

I had to find something to do from home. Something that would help pay his school loan payments and keep us from struggling to pay the bills. I became an ebay seller and learned several tricks of the trade. My weekends were spent at garage sales picking up baby items to sell on ebay. Yes, I did make money doing it, but the amount of time spent was not paying off well. (My husband would joke that I got paid pennies for each hour). Ugghh!

Don't get me wrong. I know some ebay sellers that do very well. I just didn't know very many of the secrets of doing it at the time. And all of the shipping really wore me out (as I was around 6 months pregnant with my second child during this time).

A Website?

My answer came as I was researching ebay wholesaling and dropshipping. That is when I stumbled on SBI or Site Build It for the first time. Site build it is a website provider provides all the tools necessary to build sucessful website. Their program helps people through the whole process of picking the subject for the website, writing the pages, getting the traffic and making money.

The whole idea intrigued me. Now, I did not have any experience with websites. I didn't know anything about html or coding. But the more I read about it, the more solid and anti-rich quick it looked. Yes, it would take real work and effort, but all things that are worth it take effort. So I saved up the money and took the plunge. And simply put, it changed my life.

I started my website a two years ago, and I am continually amazed by its success. Within that time period I have built a popular thriving website that has brought in increasing income every month.

How Does It Work?

I get emails all the time from women who get excited about making the baby shower crafts I list on the website. They too are looking for a way to make extra money on the side or work from home.

So I added this section to help those who would like to know more about how I did it. It's called info publishing. I make money writing about a subject I love while working at home and being with my kids.

You've probably seen the google ads on some of my pages. When the ads interest my visitors and they click on them, I make money. But there are lots of other ways to make money with a website. That is just one of them.

My website is in the top 1% of the web, which means out of all the millions of websites out there, I am in the top 1% that gets the most traffic. Pretty cool huh? My story is not very different from countless people who have taken the plunge and started a website with SBI.
