Mod Mom Champagne Brunch

This is my friend's first baby and we are wanting to celebrate her as a modern mom. I want to keep the decorations classy but not cutesy.
This is going to an adult shower (ie. alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks will be available) consisting of women between the ages of 20-30. Decoration ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Thank you for your question. You can definitely plan a classy girls get together without crossing the cutesy line. Since I am not sure how formal this event will be, I will give you some suggestions and you can choose the best ones that will work for your mod mom party.
The hottest color of the season is the chocolate brown, so if you know the sex of the baby you can pair that up with either pink or blue for some elegant decorations. If she has chosen to not find out the sex of the baby, some other great colors to use are lime green, lavender and citrus orange.Personalize your decorations by thinking of the tastes of the mom to be.
Flowers can go a long way for adding elegance to a room, you can use glass containers as table centerpieces to hold the mom to be's favorite flowers. You can buy flowers in a color that is a shade or two off from the decorations or in the color cream to stand out. You can also use different shades of the same color with your tableware.
Add a touch of class with cloth tablecloths, fine china and silverware. Shimmering organza can be used as an overlay to your tablecloth.
Use christmas lights and candles around the food table in a zig zag pattern weaving around the food items. You can place different sizes of mirrors under the candles to reflect the light. Organza can be bunched up and and poisitioned so the lights shine through the organza.
If you don't have all of the food planned yet for the shower, the tuxedo and evening gown chocolate covered strawberries can add an excellent touch to your champagne brunch.
