How do I know what to give for prize gifts when someone wins a game?

There are a variety of things you can use as prizes at a baby shower. When thinking of a prize gift to give out; think of something that you would like to receive as a prize. You can tailor your prizes to match your theme or use general items that all women love.

You can either have them placed in a basket to choose from or have a specific prize set out for each game.

Here are a few ideas to use...

  • chocolate
  • candy bars
  • candles
  • homemade goodies
  • bath wash, gel or bath bubbles
  • fancy notepaper and a pen
  • hair products
  • a dozen roses-with 1 rose given to each winner
  • nail polish
  • lip gloss
  • $5 gift cards to Starbucks or Redbox

    Those are just a few prize gift ideas you could use. To choose the perfect one for you think of your guests and their likes. When in doubt go with chocolate!

    We didn't have a lot of extra time with the baby shower I hosted recently to make desserts. I ended up scouring the dollar and thrift stores to come up with cool gifts to use for game prizes. I took coordinating tissue paper to match the party colors and wrapped all of the gifts. Then I tied them with curling ribbon and set in a basket. The guests were really excited to pick their gifts. It was lots of fun!

    We put together some fun game prizes for my sister in law's baby shower. The most popular out of the prizes for the guests were the $5 gift cards. We bought gift cards at Starbucks, blockbuster and target. It was fun to see how competitive everyone got for the Starbucks cards!

    It was lots of fun. I will definitely be using this idea again the next time I host!
