Bagels & Cheese Dip

by Shelly

A good party dip is essential for baby showers and girl get-togethers. Our reader Shelly shared her favorite go to recipe when entertaining guests. What I love about it is that there are only 2 ingredients. This recipe is a quick and fabulous addition to party appetizers. Thank you so much for sharing your recipe with us Shelly!

Just take 1 small jar of Old English cheese and blend with 1 bar of cream cheese. Blend until smooth.

Cut up plain or onion bagels in small wedges and serve with cheese dip.

Delicious and always a hit!!

Some little tweaks from over the years...
by: Star

I love this recipe! I use the jars of processed cheese, so I will need to try the old English cheese to see how it tastes. :-) I've been using this recipe for years for all my office parties and get-togethers. My husband loves it too and always asks for it when the guys are getting together to watch football. I've tried a few things with the recipe over the years and have some favorite mix ins I like to use.

When I want to put it on sour dough bread and toast it in the oven, I use sharp shredded cheese instead of the processed cheese. It melts easier and is so yummy!

I love the taste of spices, so I use the chives cream cheese containers instead of plain cream cheese.

Depending on my mood, I might add 1 teaspoon of garlic powder or 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce to give it some extra flavor.

It is so very yummy and I never have any left overs. Enjoy!
